TUDOBEST-L (Tenofovir & Lamivudine), this combination product is used with other HIV medications to help control HIV infection. It helps to reduce the amount of HIV in your body so that your immune system can work better. This reduces the likelihood of HIV complications (such as new infections, cancer) and improves your quality of life. This product is a combination of 2 different drugs: lamivudine and tenofovir. Lamivudine is called a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, and tenofovir is called a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor.
Tenofovir alafenamide is a prodrug of tenofovir that has been submitted for regulatory approval in combination with emtricitabine and as part of a TAF / FTC / EVG / COBI single tablet regimen. Tenofovir alafenamide is commonly known as TAF.
