XBIRA (Abiraterone) is an antineoplastic agent, the active substance of which is abiraterone. Additional components are also attached to abiraterone: lactose monohydrate, MCC, carboxymethyl cellulose, sodium dodecyl sulfate, pyrogenic silicon dioxide. XBIRA is a treatment for prostate cancer. It should be used once a day, without chewing and drinking plenty of water. Until today, XBIRA is considered the most effective drug for the treatment of prostate cancer, abiraterone limits the action of all sources at once that produce hormones – androgens and are responsible for the functioning of the male reproductive system. XBIRA is a medicine that slows down the CYP17 component, necessary for the process of androgen biosynthesis. Due to this, the work of all male hormones is suppressed. XBIRA reduces the accumulation of testosterone and other hormones to a minimum.
